Krissy Hiteshew Applauded for the Company’s Long-Standing Reputation for Excellence

April 30, 2019: Vallejo, CA – Heating and air conditioning company A-1 Guaranteed has long been the go-to experts for all things HVAC for decades in Vallejo and the surrounding area; it has been on the Better Business Bureau Honor Roll for 21 years, the team has been voted Best Heating/Cooling Company for 13 years by readers of the Vallejo Times Herald, and its won numerous additional awards and accolades through the years.

Recently, the company and its co-owner Krissy Hiteshew were featured in an article in the Daily Republic of Solano County, which put a spotlight on the HVAC company’s commitment to community service. Hiteshew and her husband, Richard, began the company out of their garage; as their customer base grew, they moved the company to its current location at 1768 Broadway in Vallejo. The Daily Republic reported that the owners of A-1 Guaranteed are now in a place where they can comfortably help others, and that is just what the company does.

The Solano County HVAC company has launched a program called A-1 Give Back, in which they will donate 5% of the cost of the work they do, up to $100, to the charity of the customers’ choice for each job. The number of charities in the area has grown over the years and has surprised Hiteshew. One charity is Vallejo Together, which is a non-profit group that benefits from almost 100 different community partnerships.

In addition, A-1 serves as a drop-off point for donations and collections; people can drop off clothing, coats, and more for homeless in the county and for those in need. Hiteshew explains, “I figure out where the items are needed most and separate them out.” Items go to everywhere from homeless encampments to transitional homes. Vallejo Together has expanded its assistance to extend to pregnant women, children with cancer, and others.

Another charity that benefits from A-1 Guaranteed’s A-1 Give Back program is Supporting Our Cancer Kids, a group that offers services to children who are battling cancer and their families. “We do two events each year for the kids: one in the spring and one in winter,” says Hiteshew. “It’s an amazing event. We’ve taken kids out on a ferry boat ride from Vallejo to the Golden Gate Bridge.” They have also hosted parties and taken them to see movies. “People don’t realize how many homeless kids are on the streets. People think that it is all drug addicts and alcoholics, but it’s not,” she explains.

Hiteshew has also started a fundraiser on her Facebook page to help Loma Vista Farm in Vallejo, which lost some animals to a dog attack recently. The fundraiser raised $1,000 in its first week. “If you have the capability to give and help those in need, why not do it?” she asked.
